How long is an adjustable bed?

The length of an adjustable bed mattress is generally 6’6” long, even as a single bed whereas conventional beds would only be 6’3” (190cm). The simple reason for this is that raising the head end and foot ends will have the effect of shortening the mattress. Please take into account that we make the adjustable bed base an additional 2” (5cm) for the headboard to sit on the back panel. You should also allow approximately 1” (2.5cm) more for the headboard struts and bolts. If you are restricted on space, we can make a 6ft 3in short adjustable bed. Please note that there will be a small premium to pay as it breaks our normal production.

How high is an adjustable bed?

We are often asked “what is the height of an adjustable bed?” We manufacture our range from single electric adjustable beds to 4ft electric beds to a height of 22” (56cm) from the floor to the top of the mattress. This is an ideal height for most people however, not everyone is the same. For this reason, we offer to make our beds 2” (5cm) higher or lower at no extra cost.

Headboard

Choose from our range of beautifully crafted handmade headboards. We have a selection of designs to cater for a range of budgets and styles. All headboards will be upholstered in your choice of colour / material to match your adjustable bed base.

Drawers

If you require easy access to additional storage for your individual or twin adjustable bed. Our storage drawer/s are handmade using high-quality materials designed to withstand the challenges of day-to-day use.

• Easy open and close drawers with heavy duty steel runners.
• A neat hidden finger pull along the bottom edge, rather than knobs or handles.
• Designed for easy fitting as the drawer and carcasses are pre-assembled.

Drawers are only positioned at the foot end of our adjustable beds to clear the motor and mechanics of the bed. These are 6” (15cm) deep to provide the maximum storage available. NOTE: Drawers are not available when requesting reduced adjustable bed height.

Delivery Timelines for Products and Locations

We typically complete our deliveries from Monday to Saturday, 7 am to 7 pm (bank holidays excluded). We discuss and convey our delivery date and time to you beforehand to avoid any inconvenience. The delivery times we have quoted on our site are not guaranteed but are a reasonable estimate of when you may receive your order. However, we do our utmost to meet your required timescale. But please note that delivery time may vary based on the product range and your location.

Headboards, Divan Bases & Mattresses

Once the order is scheduled and completed, we instantly send it out for delivery which has a lead time of 3-5 working days. Thus, the entire process, from order receipt and manufacture to free delivery, is done in a week.

Beds

Our handmade beds can take 5 to 7 days, depending on the selected model and delivery postcode.

Remote Areas Delivery

We provide free delivery to all standard mainland UK regions with an approximate lead time of 5 to 7 working days. However, delivery to remote areas will incur additional delivery charges and an extended delay of up to 1 to 2 weeks. Any changes in the turnaround time will be dealt with during the placement of your order.

Access Consideration

We highly recommend you ensure the furniture you order fits well in your space and that you undertake precise measurements of the area your furniture will occupy. We also suggest you take into account the route our delivery team will take to reach the targeted area. And in case of any narrow corners, staircases and doorways, or any other access-related concerns, please reach out to us.
